Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, a leading shariah based modern Commercial Bank is looking for suitable professionals for immediate employment in the following positions:

Head of Internal Control & Compliance

Educational/Professional Qualification : Post Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university at home or abroad. Preference will be given to the candidates having qualified ACA/FCA/ACMA/FCMA and Post Graduation in Accounting, Finance and Banking.

Experience and Other

  • At least 18 years practical experience in relevant field including more than 5 years in the Audit Department of any renowned Bank/renowned Audit firm. Candidates working as Head of IC&CD in renowned commercial bank/financial institution will get preference.
  • Practical experience in different areas of banking & finance like Credit/Investment, Foreign Trade, General Banking and Branch Banking etc.
  • Sound knowledge on all facets of banking operation and core risk areas of bank- Credit/ Investment Risk, ALM Risk, Foreign exchange Risk, Money Laundering Risk, Internal Control and Compliance Risk, ICT Risk etc.
  • Considerable experience on preparing audit plans, conducting/organizing routine audit of branches, special audit.
  • Ensure strong internal control in order to improve service quality & efficiency regarding irregularities/lapses.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Well conversant with regulatory requirements and business practices.
  • Sound operational IT knowledge.
  • Age. Not over 50 (fifty) years.

 

Head of Investment Risk Management

Educational/Professional Qualification : Post Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university at home or abroad.

Experience and Other Competencies:

  • At least 18 years practical experience in relevant field including minimum 5 years practical exposure in the CRM/ IRM Division of any renowned Bank. Candidates working as Head of CRM/IRM in a commercial bank will get preference.
  • Practical experience in different areas of banking like Credit/Investment, Foreign Trade etc.
  • Sound knowledge on all facets of banking operation and core risk areas of bank- Credit/Investment Risk, ALM Risk, Foreign Exchange Risk etc.
  • Review the Bank’s Investment guidelines/Investment policies and maintain a prudent level of portfolio diversification.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Dealing with credit/investment approval process, credit/investment administration, monitoring and loan/investment classification, rescheduling etc.
  • Expertise in measuring investment risk and Maximize recovery of problem loans/investment and minimize credit/investment losses and collection expenses.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Well conversant with regulatory requirements and business practices.
  • Sound operational IT knowledge.
  • Age Not over 50 (fifty) years.

The above conditions may be relaxed for highly experienced and qualified candidates. Designation and remuneration shall be offered to the deserving candidates commensurate with their experience, qualification, and suitability.
