Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (www.shahjalalbank.com.bd), a leading shariah based modern Commercial Bank is looking for suitable professionals for
immediate employment in the following positions:

Post: Head of Internal Control & Compliance

  • Educational/Professional Qualification:Post  Graduation  in any  discipline  from any  recognized  university  at  home  or  abroad  with  no  3rd Division/Class   in   academic   trail.   Preference   will   be   given   to   the   candidates   having business/commerce  discipline  and/or  qualified  ACA/FCA/ACMA/FCMA/ACCA/CFA  or  course completion.
  • Experience & Other competencies:

    • Minimum 18 years commercial banking experience with 5 years of experience in legal control and compliance issues.
    • Practical experience in different areas of banking & finance like Credit/Investment, Foreign Trade, General Banking, Branch Banking etc.
    • Sound knowledge on all facets of banking operation and core risk areas of bank- Credit/Investment Risk, ALM Risk, Foreign Exchange Risk, Money Laundering Risk, Internal Control & Compliance Risk, ICT Risk etc.
    • Considerable experience on preparing audit plans, conducting/organizing routine audit of branches, special audit.
    • Ensure strong internal control in order to improve service quality & efficiency regarding irregularities/lapses.
    • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
    • Well conversant with regulatory requirements and business practices.
    • Sound operational IT knowledge.


  • Age:   Not over 50 (fifty) years.

Post: Head of Common Services Division

  • Educational/Professional Qualification: Masters in any discipline from a reputed institution with no third Division/Class.
  • Experience & Other competencies:
    • Minimum  15  years  experience  in  the  relevant  field  in  any  large  organization preferably  in  banks  /financial  institutions  with  extensive  exposures  to  works related to logistics/establishment department.
    • Sound  knowledge  of  office  equipment,  machinery,  security  items,  office decoration etc.
    • Good communication, analytical and negotiating skills.
    • Good leadership quality, administrative capability and team building skill.
    • Sound operational IT knowledge.
    • Procurement of fixed assets, equipments, furniture & fixtures, renovation, interior decoration of Head office & branches.
    • Develop & implement procurement policies
    • Assessing  requirements  for  all  kinds  of  logistic  supports  and  its  execution namely, office stationary, printing materials, security items, office equipment etc.
    • Inventory  management  including  proper  accounting  system  of  fixed  and  lease
    • Hiring premises and selection of contractors for interior decoration /renovation.
    • Up keep and maintenance of office premises.


  • Age:  Not over 45 (forty five) years.

The  above conditions  may be relaxed for highly experienced and qualified candidates.  Designation and remuneration shall be offered to the deserving candidates commensurate with their experience, qualification, and suitability.
